As Tony lay in his hospital bed after suffering a stroke, he was faced with a terrible future – he was losing his eyesight.
Unable to work, he lost his apartment and couldn’t afford another place to live. “I developed severe glaucoma and became blind in one eye and homeless at the same time,” he says.
Tony moved back home to New Jersey, hoping to find stability. He moved in with his cousin, but the welcome wasn’t warm.
