Updated Drop-off Locations for Annual Holiday Food & Supplies Drive

(ALLENTOWN, PA) – The Allentown Rescue Mission today announced updates to its 2023 Thanks for  Giving Food & Supplies Drive. In addition to its traditional Friday and Saturday drop-off location at 355  Hamilton St., Allentown, Bobby Gunther Walsh, Newsradio 790 WAEB, will broadcast live during the  week from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. to collect items and money match for meals for homeless men staying  at the Mission. The dates and locations include: 

Tuesday, November 14, 2023 – American Fence & Flag, 2738 Eberhart Road, Whitehall, PA

Wednesday, November 15, 2023 – Agentis Plumbing, 2040 Hamilton St. #2, Allentown 

Thursday, November 16, 2023 – Allentown Fairgrounds Farmer’s Market – 1825 W. Chew St., Allentown

Friday, November 17, 2023 – Mr. Bill’s at the Allentown Fairgrounds Farmer’s Market – 1825 W. Chew St.

Saturday, November 18, 2023 – Bobby Gunther Walsh will broadcast from Redner’s Market, MacArthur  Rd., Whitehall, 9:00 a.m. – noon. From 10:00 a.m. – noon, B104’s Becca and Mike will broadcast from  Redner’s Market, Lehigh Street, Allentown, and WZZO’s Joel will air from Redner’s Market, Airport Rd.,  Allentown.

The Allentown Rescue Mission, a 501c3, 123 bed non-profit homeless shelter has been providing shelter  for homeless men since 1900. In addition to emergency shelter services (365 days a year), the Allentown  Rescue Mission offers a residential life skills program, and transitional employment on the Clean Team Workforce that’s available for hire to the community. The Clean Team Workforce pays the men above  PA state minimum wage– helping them save a nest egg to transition back into the community. In a  typical year, the Allentown Rescue Mission provides shelter services for over 946 men per year, and  serves over 42,000 meals a year to men in need.
