Trinity Lutheran Remodels at Allentown Rescue Mission

“Turns old and outdated into new and modern”

(ALLENTOWN, PA) – What a better way to begin a new year than to “cast out the old” and in with the new?! That’s just what four men from the outreach team at Trinity Lutheran Church of Kutztown accomplished for the Mission.

Over the past few weeks 120 hours of sweat, hard work, a few hundred dollars of supplies (provided by Trinity) along with mild frustration about how “nothing is square” went into taking a bathroom at the shelter from the latest of  the 1970’s to the fresh new look shown in the photos above.

“We’re extremely grateful for the work Trinity Lutheran’s team accomplished,” says Mission Facilities Manager, Michael Mauro. “When we have a project available – groups that take the ball and run with it are a huge asset to the organization – everything was provided by Trinity with limited to no involvement from staff, allowing us to focus to the men we serve and helping them back to self-sufficiency”.

From the staff and guests at the Allentown Rescue Mission – Thank you Bill Hoyer, Jeff Collier, Allen McSparron, and David Owen from Trinity (pictured left to right). You are greatly appreciated!
