The Allentown Rescue Mission’s Drive to Feed Homeless Men for the Holidays is Back

The holidays are right around the corner and the Allentown Rescue Mission will hold its 22nd annual Thanks for Giving Food and Supplies Drive the weekend before Thanksgiving. The Allentown Rescue Mission relies on the event to feed its guests throughout the holidays and to restock its pantry shelves for the upcoming year.

This year there are three opportunities to donate and support homeless men who call the Allentown Rescue Mission home. The Allentown Rescue Mission will accept donations on Friday, November 18th, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm and Saturday, November 19th, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at its 355 Hamilton Street, Allentown location. Mission staff will be available to unload donations.

New this year, the Mission is proud to announce it’s partnering with three Redner’s Market locations to collect donations for one day on Saturday, November 19th, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The one-stop- shop and drop-off will make donating even more convenient. The participating Redner’s Markets are located at 1201 Airport Road, Allentown, 2180 MacArthur Road, Allentown, and 2300 Lehigh Street, Allentown.

Additionally, several local businesses are sponsoring the Thanks for Giving Drive and will collect donated items at their locations from October 17th until November 18th.
