The Allentown Rescue Mission Celebrates Giving Tuesday

This Giving Tuesday, The Allentown Rescue Mission is responding to the needs of homeless men throughout the Greater Lehigh Valley with its “I Am Giving” campaign.

Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement, unleashing people, and organizations’ power to transform their communities and their world. Giving Tuesday will kick off the generosity season this year by inspiring people to give back on December 1, 2020, and throughout the year.

The Allentown Rescue Mission’s “I Am” slogan is the rallying call of a community that comes together to help address the root causes of homelessness in Allentown. It shows that if we all work together, we can end homelessness in the Greater Lehigh Valley! As part of Giving Tuesday, the Allentown Rescue Mission is temporarily changing its slogan to “I Am Giving” to highlight the generosity of the people that give and support those in need.

People demonstrate generosity in many ways on Giving Tuesday. Whether it’s helping a neighbor or stranger, showing up for people in need, or giving to important causes, every act of generosity counts. Giving Tuesday has raised billions of dollars for critical causes around the world and gets 21 billion impressions on social media from people and organizations speaking up for the causes that matter to them and encouraging others to get involved.
