On Wednesday, December 3, 2025, Tony Salvatore, owner of JRads Wood Fired Pizza food truck, and his team will be serving guests of the Allentown Rescue Mission a warm meal, bringing hope and dignity this holiday season.
“In the season of giving, I felt the nudge to give back to a community in need. I chose the Allentown
Rescue Mission because I grew up in downtown Allentown and saw the less fortunate and appreciated
how the Mission served and provided for the guests until they got back on their feet. I just want to
make positive memories for them through food, which is my passion,” said Salvatore.
Salvatore will volunteer his time and resources to help men in crisis feel connected to the community.
Allentown Rescue Mission guests will be able to order a pizza of their choice from Salvatore’s food truck,
which will be parked outside the Mission. He will also bring soup and focaccia bread to keep guests
warm while they enjoy their time together and wait for their pizza. Dinner will be served from 4:00 p.m.
to 6:00 p.m.
About JRads Wood Fired Pizza: Award-winning Executive Chef, Anthony Salvatore, has been in the food
truck industry for three years. For years, Salvatore dreamed of owning his own business. In 2020, he
and his wife, Debbie, built a wood-fired pizza oven in their backyard. It was so well-received by friends
and family that they decided to turn their dream into a food truck reality. They later held taste tests and
perfected the dough. JRads Wood Fired Pizza is all about simple food done right.
