The Allentown Rescue Mission is excited to announce its 24th annual Thanks for Giving Food &
Supplies Drive, Saturday, November 16th, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. The event collects non-perishable food items and supplies to benefit the nearly 1,000 men struggling with homelessness who stay at the Mission throughout the year.
The Mission relies on the fundraiser to feed guests over the holidays and restock pantry shelves for the upcoming year. New this year, the Allentown Rescue Mission has partnered with Josh Early Candies for a one-day, drive-through drop-off event at both Josh Early Candies locations in Allentown and Bethlehem.
For the convenience of its donors, Allentown Rescue Mission staff and volunteers will be on-site to accept physical and monetary donations in the parking lots. Additionally, the Mission will hold a Meal Match Challenge as part of its Food & Supplies Drive to raise money for nutritious, perishable foods such as fruits, vegetables, and dairy products.
