Clean Team Workforce Employee of the Month – Kevin

The Allentown Rescue Mission congratulates its Clean Team Workforce employee of the month for October, Kevin C.

Kevin came to the Allentown Rescue Mission on the advice of his father. His father graduated from the Transformation Program six years earlier. The Allentown Rescue Mission provided the two men what they were looking for; it was close to family and offered meaningful change and a job after graduation.

While in the Transformation Program, Kevin focused on turning his life around.  He made great strides personally and spiritually. “I’ve learned to open my mind, allow God into my life, and learned to be grateful and responsible,” stated Kevin.  After graduating from the program, Kevin began working on the Allentown Rescue Mission’s Clean Team Workforce, just as he and his father had hoped.

In the short time Kevin has worked for the Clean Team Workforce, he’s performed many jobs and has quickly become a valuable asset to the team. Kevin volunteered to transport other employees to their job sites before and after his workday. Kevin even mentors another client to help him become a better worker.

In November, Kevin will begin a Forklift Operator training class to bolster his employment skills. He is looking forward to the course and the employment opportunities that may arise from completing the class.  Kevin continues to save money and hopes to be able to secure an apartment of his own soon.

The Allentown Rescue Mission thanks Kevin for his hard work on the job and his selflessness in helping others.
