Allentown Rescue Mission’s “I Am” Tree

Take an ornament and tell us your “I am”

(Allentown, PA)—The Allentown Rescue Mission’s “I am” tree is now up for the holidays and ready to be decorated by you! During the holiday season, we are asking all donors to stop in and tell us their “I am!”

The Mission’s holiday community tree was put up after Thanksgiving and was recently decorated by the men in our Transformation program, however more decorations are needed and you can help! We are asking that any donor or volunteer who stops in and/or drops off donations fill out an “I am” Christmas tree ornament and hang it on the tree. We love to see all of the branches overflowing with people telling us their stories!

Tell us why you support the Mission, how you are feeling or how thankful you are for something! The imagination is endless! The tree will be up until after the New Year! Feel free to stop in, grab an ornament, fill out your “I am” and read why others help! All of our staff, volunteers and men have filled out their tags and told us their story, when will you?

Since 1900, The Allentown Rescue Mission has fed multitudes of hungry and hurting men. Today we embrace all those experiencing homelessness with the compassion of Jesus Christ. We believe he has given us all a second chance in life-we’ve been saved, rescued and now get to provide that same hope and renewal to others here in the Lehigh Valley and the surrounding communities.
