We would like to share with you one of our staff members who is making a difference in our men’s lives, Wendy! (pictured first row 6th from the left)
Wendy started at the Allentown Rescue Mission 3 years ago as a housekeeper and she never thought that she would not be part of our administrative team. She believed that God wanted her here as much as she wanted to be here as well. Wendy is the first voice that these men hear when they call or come to us. She says “A smile and a kind word can go a long way when someone is asking for help.”
Wendy’s advice for if you want to help out a homeless man is to give them food, not money and to direct them to the Allentown Rescue Mission by giving them our location.
