“It’s impossible to put into words just how much the Allentown Rescue Mission has helped change my life.” – Nick, the Emergency Shelter Coordinator of the Allentown Rescue Mission.
Nick credits the unconditional support of our staff and the Transformation Program for his new lease on life. He made a few mistakes and had to come to our shelter twice. However, we don’t turn our backs on men willing to change, and now he has faced his mistakes and found fulfillment.
First, he worked as a Shelter employee, then moved to his own place with a great landlord, and now he’s the Emergency Shelter Coordinator. Nick states, “I was blessed with the promotion to Emergency Shelter Coordinator. This is the first job that I can truly consider a career, something with purpose and fulfillment.
Way to go, Nick! We’re glad you were able to break out of the cycle of homelessness, and now you’re helping other men fulfill their lives.
