Derrick’s success story is the kind that we wish for all the men who come through our doors. He came to our Emergency Shelter several years ago during the lowest point in his life- he was unemployed and homeless.
Here, he joined the Transformation Program, where he learned life and job skills, heard the Gospel, and received one on one help. Derrick joined the Clean Team Workforce after graduating from the program, worked hard, and saved his money. After several months, he was able to move out to his own apartment.
Years later, Derrick has returned, but this time as an employee of our Emergency Shelter. Men like Derrick fulfill the hope of those working in the Emergency Shelter, Transformation Program, and Clean Team Workforce – for all homeless men to break the cycle of homelessness and achieve lasting independence.
