Jeff spent years of his life witnessing his dad physically abuse his mother. To get away from the abuse, he spent a lot of his time outside his home with friends. However, the trauma followed him, and as an adult, he turned to alcohol. Years of alcohol abuse wrecked Jeff’s life. “My addiction took my money and my friends.” Recalls, Jeff. Eventually, he came to the Allentown Rescue Mission in hopes we could help him put his life back together.
Soon, Jeff joined the Transformation Program after seeing the positive impact it had on the other men and recommends it to all, “It’s a great program; it will straighten you out. You just have to put your mind, heart, and soul into it.
We’re impressed with how much Jeff has changed. Once he graduated from the program, Jeff was able to find his own place and move out of our facilities. His goals now are to quit smoking, keep his job, stay sober, and be responsible. Good luck, Jeff; we’re cheering for you!
