Meet Jeff. Jeff grew up poor in the Coal Region of Pennsylvania. He was put into foster care when his alcoholic father abandoned him. Still, he didn’t let his tough childhood hold him back. Jeff grew up, worked hard, and reunited with his mother. But when his mother passed away, Jeff began to use drugs and alcohol to numb his pain. Eventually, he became homeless and sought refuge at the Allentown Rescue Mission.
Here, Jeff has decided to let Jesus into his heart. Jeff has been able to deal with his mother’s passing in a healthier way, and has begun to find purpose and direction in his life. He is currently enrolled in our Transformation program and wishes to continue moving forward, and now through Christ, he has the power to do so.
