Ryan grew up as an active child, playing basketball and football for his school. As he got older and began to work, his mother thought it was time to send him out on his own. Unfortunately, being out on his own and providing for himself was not what he expected and Ryan became homeless. Ryan found the Allentown Rescue Mission when a police officer brought him to the Emergency Shelter. Ryan then decided to join the Transformation Program where he learned a powerful lesson; “God will take control and as long as I have faith and love in him, he will give me the strength to move on and prevail.” Ryan says that the Transformation Program has provided him with real life-skills to succeed. He hopes that after graduation he will find employment and eventually get completely back into the community.
