Cornelio is 68, and he came to the Gateway in September when he lost his apartment. His wife became ill, and when she passed away, he found himself homeless. He came to Allentown via Puerto Rico, and he spent his life in landscaping, and painting/drywalling. His wife was his rock, and she was integral in their getting on in the world, especially given Cornelio’s limited English skills. Cornelio doesn’t know what is next in life, but we have a place for him as long as he needs our help. For now, he is working on the clean team.
