Transformation Program Graduate – Henry B.

Henry B. spent 8 years in Baton Rouge, LA, working in the drug scene. He was well-respected in his community as a trustworthy man that local dealers could depend on to protect and distribute product, but he began to see disturbing activity. Then one day Henry’s conscience overtook him, and he decided to take a bus to Allentown PA, a place he had never been before.

Once in Allentown, Henry found his way to the Allentown Rescue Mission. He was warmly welcomed into the shelter and decided to enroll in the Transformation Program. The Word of God was broken down in the classes and Henry was able to understand God in a whole new way. He repented about his past life and spent time praying. Henry felt that one of the best parts of the program was the positive people he encountered. He credited the Transformation Program for “transforming” his relationship with God and his way of thinking.

Near the end of the eight-week Transformation Program, Henry’s aunt came to visit him from Atlanta and was brought to tears after hugging him and not smelling the scent of marijuana. She was so proud of the work he put in that she offered to have Henry move to Atlanta and stay with her.

Henry moved to Atlanta after he graduated from the Transformation Program to live with his aunt, continue rebuilding his life, and make the necessary changes needed to become a morally upright man with a relationship with God. He says he will bring all his work with him to commemorate where his life changed for the better.
