James graduated from the Transformation Program this past April. He has since been working for the Clean Team Workforce, doing various jobs throughout the community. Through one of these jobs, James was presented with an opportunity for full-time work with a local real estate developer. James will be able to use his skills and experience as a heavy equipment operator on a new, 4-year project in downtown Allentown, and he is very excited.
James was moved to tears as he shared his life journey and how far he had come. “I feel that I have been patient, and I have been blessed with this opportunity. I belong, grow, and thrive daily because of the Allentown Rescue Mission. I am not embarrassed about where I am in my life. They have given me more than anyone has ever given me”, he confessed.
James is actively working on finding his own place to live and has had a lot of personal triumphs in the last month alone. He was able to improve his health by getting the medical attention he needed and began the process of having his driver’s license restored.
