This month’s Employee Spotlight shines on David, an Emergency Shelter Program Associate. This June, David celebrated 32 years working for the Allentown Rescue Mission. David started working for the Allentown Rescue Mission in 1989 as a Food Service Supervisor; since then, he’s held multiple roles.
In his current position, David conducts the initial screening process to determine shelter eligibility, mentors the men, coordinates case management, and provides transportation to the clients’ appointments. He also plays the guitar and sings for the men during Bible study, graduation ceremonies, and holiday services.
David loves helping the homeless and hopes to inspire them through faith, “There are always struggles in life. Trust the Lord through the process. He will never leave you.” Thank you, David, for your years of service and dedication to the Allentown Rescue Mission.
