Clean Team Workforce Employee of the Month – Lee

The Allentown Rescue Mission announced its Clean Team Workforce employee of the month for November, Lee T.

Lee grew up in New York City and moved to the Lehigh Valley seven years ago.  He experienced instability and abuse during his childhood.  His mother battled alcoholism and, as a result, lost custody of Lee.  He moved in with his aunt, and later moved in with his sister and her boyfriend.  But that living situation was also volatile, and they struggled to keep food on the table.  So Lee came to the Allentown Rescue Mission for help.

Lee graduated from the Transformation Program and joined the Clean Team Workforce.  The workplace value that best describes Lee is cooperative.  He has worked several jobs such as cleanouts, grass cutting, and litter collecting.  He is always willing to jump in and help when asked.  Lee even assisted the staff in unloading cars during the Allentown Rescue Mission’s annual Thanks for Giving Food and Supplies Drive.  Lee’s favorite assignment is picking up trash.  He likes the fact that people in the community appreciate the work he is doing and he enjoys making them happy.

Thank you, Lee, for your flexibility and desire to help the community. The Allentown Rescue Mission wishes you continued success.
