Bob and Beth Over ran a bake sale for the Mission
at Five Below in Whitehall on September 18, 2010,
and donated the profits to the Mission. They were
joined by Dianne Moody, the Mission’s Development
Associate. Thanks Bob & Beth!

THANK YOU, Mary, for your hard work and dedication!
Marianne (Mary) Knapp, a loyal Mission supporter, sold a variety of baked goods on Sunday, March 28th at the Wal*Mart Supercenter in Easton. Mary baked the goodies herself, and is donating the proceeds to the Mission. Bill Dickinson, the Mission’s Director of Development, stopped by for some samples and raved, “They were delicious!”

Appropriate for Younger Volunteers:

Special Events

Our Newstalk 790 WAEB Spaghetti (fundraising) Dinner will be October 8th at Asbury United Methodist Church in Allentown. Teens can serve and bus tables. Younger children can be with their parents at the dessert table or beverage table. It’s a fun event; last year we raised over $50,000!

Thanks for Giving Food & Supplies Drive will be Friday, November 18th (probably 4-7 pm) and Saturday, November 19th (late morning to mid-afternoon.) This is a huge, two-day event, and we’ll need lots of help. Last year we were at 6 local Giant Food Stores Friday night and at 4 local Wal*Mart Stores on Saturday. We need lots of volunteers (kids and teens with parents are great for this) to greet customers as they’re entering the stores, give them grocery bags imprinted with our Needs List, and then thank them when they drop off items at our collection bins. Some families also helped put cans on the shelves back here at our warehouse. You can see some photos of the event at the bottom of our events page. Last year we collected more than 23,000 lbs. of food!

You can volunteer by mail or by completing the information below. We can email you volunteer opportunities as we have need.
